Why We Ask So Many Questions

A golf course does not get a season off. There is no harvest, no dormant crop sitting in a bin — the surface has to perform every day it’s open, and a problem that would be tolerable in a row crop can close a green, cost a tournament, or cost a member relationship overnight. That changes what “the problem” actually means, and it changes what we need to know before we recommend anything.

Turf is not a machine either — it’s a living surface under constant traffic, mowing and cultural stress, and a healthy stand resists disease, insects and wear far better than a stressed one, no matter what’s applied to it. Disease pressure, compaction, thatch, water quality and mowing height all interact, and a program built around the product alone — without understanding the rootzone, the irrigation, the traffic pattern and the course’s own standards — is a guess, not a diagnosis.

So the questions below are about your course as a whole system, not just the symptom on the 14th green. Every answer lets us narrow down what’s actually driving the problem, rule out the expensive dead ends, and design a program that fits your grass, your climate, your rootzone and your standard of play — instead of a generic recommendation that fits no course in particular.

Your answers let us build a picture of your course: your turf species and construction, your soil and water, your climate and microclimates, the actual pressure you’re under — disease, insect, traffic, or environmental — and your economics and standards of play. From that we design a demonstration with defined, measurable goals — not a vague “let’s try it and see.” You tell us what success looks like in numbers.
